Horizon at 77th - Unit 206

Pros:
My stay at Horizon at 77th - Unit 206 was pleasant. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, dishes, and pots and pans—everything needed to cook a meal. The balcony was also roomy and offered a decent view. While the greenery has grown more than shown in the pictures, slightly limiting the view, it was still enjoyable. The bathrooms were nicely updated with plenty of space. We forgot a fan for my son to sleep with at night but there are fans provided in both rooms which was very nice as bedtime can be a challenge.
Cons:
The beds were uncomfortably firm, making it difficult for me to get restful sleep. I know it is hard to please everyone when it comes to beds, but these beds hurt me. Another issue was the refrigerator—I found it already running with the ice tray full, even though guests were given instructions to turn it on upon arrival and empty the tray upon departure. Additionally, I found a half-eaten bag of Doritos and a pistachio shell in the chairs by the balcony, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. The biggest disappointment was the pools. They were so cold that my 12-year-old son couldn’t swim in them at all. Despite voicing my concerns several times to staff, nothing was done. With the was this hotel is turned and shaped, the sun only hit the outside pool on one occasion during the day. Obviously, the inside pool did not get any sunlight. Unfortunately, this left him with no choice but to sit in the hot tub with adults, which was far from ideal for a child.
