This condo is superb & looks even better in person. The view is MAGNIFICENT & sitting on the wrap around balcony to take it all in is breah taking. The property is clean, comfortable & extremely spacious. The beds are comfortable & there is plenty of seating. If you can pull yourself away from the ocean, there is plenty to eat & do in the area. Just Book It!

This is our 2nd time staying at South Winds and it won't be our last. Located close to many great restaurants and activities. The beach front balcony is large and had more than adequate seating for our family of 6. The hot tubs, lazy river and pool are well maintained. The resort is quiet at this time of year. The ease of booking online is a huge plus. Luxury Beach rentals was very responsive to any and all questio s and they kept me well informed on all needed information. Check in and Check out is non contact and as easy as can be. You won't regret booking this condo!

Lovely and spacious condo, centrally located and exactly as described. We’ve been staying in Myrtle since 06, and really enjoyed this unit. Family of 8; grandparents, parents, aunt/uncle, 2 kids (3 and 12). Condo is big so we weren’t on top of each other. Full kitchen, living room had seating for everyone but the balcony was the star of the show. Really appreciated the full compliment of quality furniture with seating for 12, and we spent a lot of time out there watching sunrises and thunderstorms. You have to supply your own beach towels; bring extra as the dryer required 2 cycles to fully dry. The 10 person dining room table allowed for nice breakfasts, and being close to Broadway and Barefoot meant quick access to entertainment, shopping, restaurants. The inside pool was on the cooler side, but outside pools were in the sun until 3:30pm each day. Property was clean, elevators are large, parking on top level was fine but there’s a tight turn to get to street level, just go slow. Outside unit there is an unlocked closet with all manner of beach chairs and toys, contents probably vary each rental. Bring a cooler, extra hangers, Clorox wipes. Water pressure was great, trash disposal easy, checking in/out was done via text and Wi-Fi reached out to the beach which had a Life Guard station right in front of building. Would be great for the property to have a bathroom for the pool area, but owners can’t help that. Really appreciated this unit, thank you!

Our family enjoyed our visit here. One of the best highlights is the ocean front balcony view. The Condo is very spacious, with a large dining table for any family. Our family absolutely loved our stay. The view was incredible, the place was clean and the surrounding area was very laid back. There was plenty to do. The location is close to all things Myrtle Beach, an easy drive to everything you would want but feels peaceful enough to enjoy a respite.
My extended family and I would love to repeat our stay. There was plentiful seating, balcony chairs and dishes for the whole group, even two coffee makers!

We stayed here for a long weekend over Easter. It worked great for our family which included three small group families. Three bathrooms were awesome. Outdoor balcony was beautiful for sunrise view but this is the 11th floor so the height might not be for everyone. Our check-in was a bit late (We couldn’t get in till about 4:30), But the pool area is open for use before that. There is no lobby or people on site to help so it is all electronic communication. The place is right on the beach, which is beautiful. It’s in a good neighborhood with restaurants and a coffee shop in walking distance. But, you’ll probably want a car to get around Myrtle Beach. It is a ways down from the touristy boardwalk area, which we thought was nice to be away from. There were enough supplies to get us through the weekend except we didn’t need extra toilet paper so throw a few rolls in your suitcase. We also brought our own beach towels. Overall, great place to stay!

We had an amazing stay! I can’t say enough great things about the condo and the management team at Luxury Beach Rentals! The condo was pristine and had more than enough space for our party of 9. Very toddler friendly and the views were amazing!! The grounds were so well kept. Everything was honestly perfect. This was also our very first stay where we didn’t have to reach to management about ANYTHING! If we come to Myrtle next year, we’ll absolutely book here first.

This condo was perfect for our family with 6 adults and 2 children. Lots of space inside and a huge balcony with a great view. The management company that manages this property is great. If I had one negative I would say that the carpets are worn and torn in some areas. They need to be replaced. We were able to check in early when we called as requested. No problem with parking even when we needed a 3rd pass for a visitor. The beach was great and the balcony view was phenomenal. Furnishings were as pictured and were comfortable for us to spend hours visiting. Beds all slept comfortably. Kitchen was well equipped. Our only complaint was that there was no screen in the sliding glass door and we were specifically instructed not to leave the door open because it would set off the smoke alarms. My brother stayed at a high rise just a few blocks away and they had no such requirement. We have stayed in other condos at other beaches and never had a problem. We come to the beach when the weather is more moderate and missed being able to open the door to hear the surf and feel the breeze. Finally, we followed the restaurant recommendations provided by Luxury Rentals and had all wonderful meals and service. It was a great experience.

We had a great time during our stay at the Southwind Resort in Myrtle Beach. The accommodations more than met our needs. The beach was easily accessible and provided a beautiful of the ocean from the balcony. the unit also offered the necessary amenities for a group of 11 people which included 2 babies. The fire alarm went off in the unit 3 times which appeared to be related when balcony doors were open. This was the only major negative about our stay. We will consider staying here again in the future.

Great location for families. Pools are nice. Utilities worked well. Would be nice to have the amenities starter pack be a little larger to get through the whole week. Kind of a pain to buy a large bottle of laundry detergent, dish soap, etc to do two loads of cleaning.

Amazing view, and balcony. I loved getting up watching the sunrise. Location close to everything, but did not feel commercial at the condo, and beach. It was very quiet. Like others has said, plenty of room. We had 8 adults. I enjoy cooking, and had most meals planned- kitchen was a little sparse with cooking sheet pans, mixing bowls, etc. But plenty of pots and pans- and wine utensils! Low beach chairs/cart/umbrella are available for the beach. Overall very clean, comfortable, and relaxing.

This property exceeded my expectations. The location was in just the perfect spot. Watching the sunrise from your couch is definitely an unexpected bonus. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. The outdoor chairs on the patio were very comfortable, especially with a good cup of coffee.

3 couples and 19 yo shared this condo. 1st off, description completely accurate! There is plenty of room, no one felt cramped and all had privacy. 3 bathrooms was key. The main corner balcony was perfect at any time of day, and the space?! Huge!! With high chairs, tables, and loungers. Storage unit has umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, noodles for water. We loved our stay!!! 2 issues with thermostat and dishwasher, both resolved within hours. Seamless communication, check in, and checkout. Love love Southwinds!!

Our stay in condo #1101 at South Wind was a full week of rest and relaxation, and I highly recommend it. My review is for both the condo unit and the management company (Luxury Beach Rentals, Myrtle Beach, SC). Based on my experience, I give them the following scores:
View from the condo and balcony = 5/5
Comfort of furniture & beds = 5/5
Well-stocked kitchen = 5/5
Cleanliness = 4/5 (comments below)
Condo buildings, pool & gym = 5/5
Location = 5/5
Communication & customer service = 5/5
Easy check-in/check-out and instructions in the unit = 5/5
* Perfect location right on the beach (literally 2-3 minutes from room, down elevator, through building, and – bam -- your feet are in the sand). Grocery stores and a few souvenir shops are 5-10 blocks away on N. Kings Hwy (best to drive) and in between the Oceanfront Drive and N. Kings highway is a quiet residential area. The Boardwalk is about 3 miles south if you want the really touristy shops. It’s really on the edge of central Myrtle Beach, so for us it was an ideal location. COVID caution: even though SC and Myrtle Beach have mask ordinances, they were not being enforced inside stores and restaurants in the Boardwalk area.
* THE VIEW. The wrap-around balcony was awesome! There were chairs, chaises longue and even two high-top tables with 6 captain’s chairs for outdoor eating/drinking. I loved having my own access door off the master bdrm. Being 11 floors up you see beautiful sunrises and miles up and down the beach. Also, you do not hear much noise from the beach or pool area. We even saw dolphins on our first two days.
* Comfort & Convenience: The beds and couches were very comfortable and clean. There was a large desk/table in the common area where you could set up a computer (we had one child doing virtual schooling). And the dining table was HUGE. You can comfortably seat 10 ppl at it, or use one end for eating and the other to set up games, like we did. The appliances were mostly new and worked great. The kitchen even had a hand mixer, baking dishes, a blender, a crock pot, plastic storage containers, etc. Also, I appreciated that they had plenty of hangers, even the non-slip kind.
* I give high praise and appreciation to the management company. They were terrific to deal with, from the initial emails through the end of our stay. We had an issue with two of the door handles (locking people in the bathroom, LOL) and they were able to send their maintenance guy (Jay) out within 20 minutes. He was super nice and helpful; he checked all the doors and locks and decided they would replace them all with new ones after we checked out b/c they weren’t up to his standards.
* Cleanliness: For non-pandemic times, I would give them a 5 out of 5. However, with COVID, my standards are really high and I have to give them a 4. The condo was definitely clean, but there were a few missed details on surfaces and glass. The floor and refrigerator were spotless, though, and the bathroom caulking was in great shape. Unfortunately, the previous renters did not follow instructions and put some dirty dishes away in the cupboards (e.g., I found lemon seeds in the bottom of the pitcher, a dirty cutting board and a couple of dirty wine glasses). That’s just gross, so if you’re a renter, please follow the rules. When I called the company about this on the third day (because we didn’t see it all at once), they handled it so well. They were very apologetic and sent a message immediately to the cleaning crew, presumably to check the kitchen more closely after renters vacate. They even offered to let us check out late since they didn’t have the next guests coming in until the day after we left.
General info:
- the Wi-Fi is for the whole building, so you have to reconnect regularly.
- they do provide starter supplies for kitchen, bath and laundry, but you will have to buy some of your own paper towels, toilet paper, dryer sheets and possibly hand soap, laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid if you’re a large group staying the whole week or more.
- they provide beach chairs and a few beach toys, but NOT beach towels, so bring your own.
- random restaurant recommendation: The Hook & Barrel ($$-$$$)
Overall, I have to say we LOVED our stay here and would not even look elsewhere if/when we come back. I’d love to make it a yearly trip. Being there in mid-March, we were able to leave the balcony doors open a lot and hear the ocean in the background when we were inside.
This was our best experience by far with AirBnB. Book it – you won’t regret it.

Group of 7 of us really enioyed this condo the past week. Condo was huge! There is plenty of space to spread out, plenty of seating to seat 10 comfortably in living room for a movie at night and the large dining table sat us all each meal. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking in as well. We especially enjoyed the huge outdoor patio that wraps around the side of the building. There was ample seating for all of us outside as well with two tables and several lounge chairs. Gorgeous! Very easy quick elevator ride to the ground level and a short walk to the beach. It rained all but one day of our trip but with the large condo and patio we had a hard time leaving! Will definately be back!

Our family of 9 just completed a stay here. The beach out front is awesome, and the pools get shade by mid afternoon making them a nice place to relax later in the day. The balcony is a very comfortable place to sit and take in the ocean views. I would highly recommend this place for you and your family!

Facilities were great including pools and access to the beach! If I had to provide ANY Negative feedback on what needs to be changed would be to get a pizza cutter and a few pans for the oven. Really minor almost not worth mentioning. There also were not oven mitts but I almost attribute that to COVID policy. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone!! We really enjoyed our time at this condo. The balcony itself was worth the price..it was huge! The kitchen was really appointed nicely with everything you would have at your home. The dining table sat 10 so it was an awesome card table for us each night after dinner. The only con was the pool not being opened when the rest of the hotels opened their pools (we were told by maintenance workers it was due to some updating they were planning) that may have made our decision to stay here different had we known, so I'm kind of glad we didn't know this ahead of time. Overall one of the best trips we've taken as a family. Would definitely rent again!
