This condo was exactly as advertised, or should I say better than advertised!!! Plenty of space for our family of 6, clean, right on the beach! I could not have found a better place. Check in and out was simple. No issues while staying here. Will recommend to others and will return.

We have a few things that did not work during our stay. The toilet in the double room never worked, the tv remote in living room did not work, queen bedroom tv was not able to be used, the tv in the master room would show the menu but then the screen would go blank after making a selection, the stove top had a burner that did not get warm quickly and the AC never cooled the unit down below 73 degrees at night and 77 degrees during the day. The AC control by the washing machine just blinked and never set. The unit has mold on the shower curtain in the double with the broken toilet and the master bath has black mold or something black in the shower. This unit could use a deep cleaning. We were a little surprised with what we payed to stay the week that this condo was not maintained better. Sent email to vrbo and never received a response!Great view, though! I took pictures of the above items if you need to see them.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having stayed at Island Vista 3 years ago in a smaller unit, we hoped upgrading to a larger unit would be more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we spent A LOT MORE money without reward. Don't get me wrong, the resort amenities and ocean proximity cannot be beat! Our stay was impacted by the lack of upkeep to our unit and the unit being privately owned. There was mold growing in the master bathroom shower, a jacuzzi tub we couldn't get to work, a broken master bedroom ceiling fan/light(couldn't be addressed by maintenance because they had to speak to the owners first), kitchen cabinetry in disrepair/peeling, a vacuum cleaner and bissel vacuum that spewed debris everywhere when you turned it off, uncomfortable patio furniture (not at all like the unit advertisement photos), broken/beat up baseboard trim and a stove that seemed to cook only on high setting. Furthermore, the air conditioner unit settings were incredibly challenging. It should have been foretelling to find several blankets in rooms. The temperature was NOT able to be kept consistent, despite modifying the two a/c unit panels, leaving the living area and master FREEZING cold and the other bedrooms warmer than desired. As for being a privately owned unit, we did not have the luxury of having housekeeping service, nor did we get to use a room key at the tiki bar or at the beach towel dispenser. Both of the latter, we utilized numerous times during our stay 3 years ago and felt disappointed seeing others utilize the resort beach towels and we felt uneasy taking a credit card down to the pool/beach to purchase drinks. All in all, if we stay at Island Vista again, I'll be calling the resort directly to ensure a quality experience.

Beautiful 4 BR/4Ba corner unit. Island Vista is such a great spot with not alot around it so not crowded at all. Good layout as everyone had space, privacy and their own bath. Awesome living room (huge for a condo!). Balcony and ocean view were great. Kitchen was really big as well and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc.. We cooked most meals in which was very easy----but the in house restaurant was really good (did breakfast a couple of days). Looks out onto the ocean. Loved how close it was to the beach, and the various seating areas outside (more than just pool chairs, there were rocking chairs, couches, etc). Kids did some outdoor pool but it was March so mostly inside in the lazy river and hot tub. Small workout room, but well placed (right next to pool). Elevators in middle, so had to go down the hallway but totally worth it to be on corner. Unit had a luggage cart in one of the closets. Parking garage on each side, so seems tighter. We were un 3 row SUV and had no trouble.

Nice spring trip. Really like the various sitting areas at the resort (not just a bunch of pool chairs). So close to the ocean! Restaurant was great option to have, and enjoyed breakfast a couple of the days. Outdoor pools were heated but kids mostly enjoyed the indoor hot tub, lazy river, etc. The kitchen was well stocked--nice to be able to fix a variety of things. Living room was big and really comfortable. There was a luggage cart in one of the closets which was helfpul (corner unit but elevator in middle).

Love both the resort and the unit! Island Vista is great with the restaurant option (which was really good) and great outdoor areas (more than just lounge chairs---there are sofas, rocking chairs, etc--all so close to the beach). Outdoor pools were heated, but indoor area was good (lazy river, hot tub and splashpool). Teen liked having the work out room. The unit was great. Nice separation of bedrooms. Note that there is a full size luggage carrier personal to the unit (closet in secondary bedroom). Kitchen was awesome---plenty of everything we needed, nice appliances, great deck and a fantastic living room (way more space than usual). Beds were comfortable, water pressure good. Really nice to have the w/d in unit to easily dry pool towels. It is corner unit; elevator bay in middle, so does not matter which end you park on.

I stayed here with 10 other people and there was plenty of room. We stayed in the off season when it was a little cold out but the pools were heated so our two toddlers still had a great time. At night they had lights and propane fire pits so we could sit and enjoy the sound of the ocean on the patio. Our group enjoyed the restaurant as well as used the gym. All and all I would recommend this stay.

We kept in contact and continued to send updates to all our guests regarding the tropical storm. Had there been a need to evacuate we would have informed our guests. There were no mandatory evacuations. Unfortunately there is not much we can do in regards to the weather and guests time of booking. We always suggest that you obtain travel insurance for any unforeseen circumstances, however this would not have been covered as there was no mandatory evacuations. We understand prioritizing your families safety and respect the decision you made to leave. I can understand the frustration as your vacation did not turn out as you had hoped. We do hope you will reconsider staying with us again, we would be delighted to have you back.

The living Furn was torn and smelled like old dirty clothes. Master shower was full of black algae was so dirty. Was actually skeptical of sitting couches….we had to put blanket on it. Shower was awful …..you would think someone would contact me and refund 25% of our stay. We complained 1st day but no one paid us any attention. It was disgusting

This was a great experience. The rooms were large and comfortable. One very important note - when checking in, do not tip the bellhop to "rent" one of their lobby carts. There is already a lobby cart in the closet of one of the bedrooms. Would recommend.

Normally, that’s not an issue, but my mom is pretty frail so it was a challenge for her. She made it though and had a great time!

Everything was great. The only issue we came across was that we had two toddlers with is and we couldn't get the balcony doors to lock and there were a few times we needed a mop due to some spills and we didn't find one in the room. Overall satisfied and would likely stay again.

This condo was perfect for our group of nine family members! We had an awesome vacation and would return again as our group agreed that it was the best condo we've stayed in at Myrtle Beach. We loved the furnishings and really appreciated that it was set up for the number of people it could accommodate, especially that it had seating for 10 at the main table in the dining room plus the extra round table for 4. Also the oceanfront balcony had great furniture and could seat 9 of us which is much better than past condos we've stayed at. The kitchen had plenty of silverware, plates and glasses and all of the appliances you would need! Brad was extremely responsive to the couple of questions I had once we arrived. We loved the proximity of the two outdoor pools to the ocean, in fact we could sit by the pool and still see and hear the ocean waves! Walking to the beach was a breeze and the resort's location in the midst of a residential neighborhood made for relaxing, uncrowded beach time! I would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend it to a large group looking for a perfect location for the week!

Property was great. Kitchen could have been more fully equipped and perhaps better pots and pans and utensils, and dish towels. We also had 14 guests and we ran out of plates frequently. Also, garage has a 6’9” clearance - good to know if you have a cargo carrier on top. Locks to deck don’t work. This is meant as constructive criticism - overall we loved the place and location. We would (and likely will!) return. Owners were very responsive, too.

This property was perfect for our group. Clean, with the amenities and enough bedrooms for all of us. Kitchen was big with everything you might need to cook a meal or just warm things up. We were very pleased with our stay in this 4BR/4BA condo which we have already booked a 2nd stay at later this year. Very clean, large, nicely stocked kitchen which opens up to the great room and dining room with a large table that seats 8+. Electric fireplace visuals were really nice with options for no heat or temperature controlled heat. Fantastic views from the large balcony with ample seating and a 2nd balcony off the master suite. Large TV in the great room had cable, Netflix, and other streaming options. Restaurant on site was very good and offered an excellent breakfast (which included GF options). Indoor pool area perfect for kids with multiple pools 3-3.5 ft, lazy river and hot tub. There is also an in ground hot tub outside that was open (outdoor pools closed in Dec). It was a short walk from the room, down the hall to the elevator, and out of the back of the resort by the lobby area to the beach. Super close to nice restaurants (our favorite was Carolina Roadhouse about 1.5 miles away). Last but not least, our communication with the owner was top notch. He texted and emailed check-in and check-out instructions and offered to please contact him on his cell phone if any questions or concerns.

This place was amazing and comfortable all the way around! Will definitely be coming back! We did leave early because of Hurricane Ian but we can’t control Mother Nature. But no complaints about the rental or location. We have stayed in the resort before but it is different when you are really not associated to the resort so just know that you have to go get a keycard to get in and out of the building during restricted hours and to use the fitness room.

This property is huge and had more than enough room for the 5 of us. Great furniture and very nicely decorated. Two balconies and an excellent view from the 12th floor. Pools and beach access make this place perfect for families. The air conditioning is working off two different units with the condo. One seemed to really struggle to keep the two front right bedrooms cool. The other one was working like a champ and kept the master and main area plenty chilly. Overall, this was one of the best beach properties I have ever stayed in and would love to return.

We stayed as a family of 13 (7 adults, 6 children 10 and under which included one infant) the first week in September. The unit itself was beautiful. Some of our favorite things were the large kitchen table (hard to find in condos!), spacious kitchen and lovely decor. Communication with the owners was fabulous and they were able to answer all of our many questions promptly. I will say that we thought the unit had 1K and 5Q beds (plus a sofa sleeper), but it actually had 1K in master, 1Q in hall bedroom and then 2 full in each of the other two bedrooms, and a sofa sleeper. (It was a tight sleep to go from sleeping in a King at home to a Full with a spouse every night!). As for the building itself, the pool amenities were very nice, the beach was not very crowded due to time of year and location of building in a mostly residential area. The parking garage was very tight for vehicles that are not small (we had 2 large SUVs and a minivan). We did like that there were adequate parking spaces allotted for the unit. The elevators are only in the middle of the building and the unit and parking garages are end, so it was a bit if a walk for those in our party who are handicap. There was a very small trash can in the kitchen and no dish-drainer, so we bought each of those. The view from the master bedroom balcony is blocked due to being on the corner and has a concrete “banister”, as is the view from one of the other bedrooms (view of roof access). The other two bedrooms had walkway views. We had mixed reviews on a/c in the unit… two of the bedrooms stayed cool while the other two were warm. There were ceiling fans which is a plus. The fridge was large, which is nice. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would be willing to book this VRBO again!

We traveled to Myrtle Beach this past week with my family (kids ages 11-3) and my parents and honestly didn’t fully understand the type of resort we were walking into! We booked based on the pictures of the pools and the beach access, but it was even better than that! They have 3 restaurants and a full service bar outside. The food was good, not amazing but the kids enjoyed the pizza and fries. The bar drinks were surprisingly good, although expensive (pro tip- get the “buckets” that are in the condo and you get a discount to refill them). There’s a full spa (we didn’t use it so I can’t speak to how it is), and live music several days. Not overrun and had no noise issues at all. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was a perfect family-friendly spot! Lots of things to do within a 5-15 minute drive (Pirates Voyage dinner show which was awesome, Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, lots of mini golf and go karts, multiple grocery stores 5 mins away). The condo itself is great, lots of bedroom and bathroom space. The kitchen is decently stocked to cook for a crew, but lacking a crockpot and some storage containers but I did mention it to the owners and I know they have plans to update and upgrade a few things this year. There are beach chairs and boogie boards in the closet which was really nicely have. Overall I highly recommend, especially if you have a larger group of family and friends!

Wonderful relaxing family vacation! We loved that we were so close to everything that we wanted to do, yet didn't have to deal with the typical busy Myrtle Beach crowds. Owners were fantastic and quickly answered any questions we had. Resort staff was also extremely helpful.
