The resort is located in the heart of the Grand Strand in a quite family oriented section of the beach. The Cypress Room is an award winning onsite restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily with lunch options available on the patio and at the pool bar during the summer months. Activities on site include the indoor and outdoor pool complex which includes a lazy river, three pools, spas, children's splash pool, and waterfall / rock formations overlooking the beach along with a fitness center and tanning lawn. The condo is high enough up to avoid the pool noise in summer and enjoy total privacy. This condo is second to none in spacious accommodation, luxury appointments, attention to every detail and is in pristine condition.

We were not disappointed with this penthouse condo, even though we have stayed at Island Vista before at a similar lower level condo and besides the higher view, this condo was the same size, we were thinking it would have been much bigger because it was a penthouse. There was plenty of room for our guests so I am not complaining. The condo needs updating. There are still phone jacks in the walls for old phones. The garbage can under the sink needs to have one of those smooth rollers installed for easier access. Other than that, just a refresh would be ideal, but as is, was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area, but the cost should be reduced to align with the age of the condo.- John L. from Hooksett, Posted: 07/19/2021
We loved the room and the Island Vista Resort! It accommodated our family perfect and the kids loved the pool, lazy river and beach access. The resort staff were very professional and polite. I can’t say that for the restaurant. We were lied to by the host and manager. My in-laws were seated without a reservation two groups in front of us. When we got to the front of the line, I asked if we could sit outside because the manager told us it was first come first serve. The host told us they were booked. I explained that we were just told we didn’t need a reservation and his reply again was that they were booked. We then chose to eat by the pool and the food was cold and tasteless. They also add an 18% tip without a word about it. We will return to the resort but won’t be eating at the Cypress Room.- Anonymous from Ringgold, Posted: 07/05/2021
The unit was well appointed with all the necessary items. Our only issue was the dishwasher that didn’t get things clean.- Rob A. from Marietta , Posted: 06/16/2021
All good except when we were ready to depart, the hotel refused to let us use one of their rolling carts to haul all our luggage to our car claiming it wasn't an option since we were in one of your units.- Mike W. from Lees Summit, Posted: 03/03/2021
Very clean. Kitchen very basic. Because of the virus, only my husband and I came, so we certainly had a lot of room.
I would have given it all 5 stars, but there was a to of noise coming from one of the other condos-rooms that came through the ventilation in one of the bathrooms. That bedroom had to be abandoned because of it. That was unacceptable.- Gini M. from Apex, Posted: 12/15/2020
Wonderful stay! Property was very clean and the location was fantastic. We really enjoyed the large balcony. Amenities at Island Vista were great and the folks at Luxury Beach Rentals were amazing and provided excellent service. Would definitely recommend this property!- Susan V. from Sevierville, Posted: 10/04/2020
We enjoyed our first trip to Myrtle Beach. The Island Vista penthouse was clean, spacious, quiet, and had beautiful views. One in our party uses a wheelchair, and we all had plenty of room (family with 4 adult kids). Beds were comfy, linens clean, staff helpful. The outdoor seating area was very nice, and we enjoyed all the pools and hot tubs. Island vista is conveniently located on the beach without walking through dry, brown foliage. The palm trees and green grass made us feel like we were in the Caribbean. I like to cook and would have liked a few more items in the kitchen, but we made do. The coffee machine was functioning subpar, so we called and had a brand new one purchased for us and delivered within the hour. Publix and Walmart were our go-to shopping centers, and then we had a short drive to Broadway at the Beach. We would definitely return!- Stuart H. from Charlottesville , Posted: 10/01/2020
